Self-Loading Cargo v1.6.7.1 Released

A new ground crew voice pack, voicepack creator, cabin component failures and more...
Self-Loading Cargo v1.6.7.1 has released and introduces whole host of features including a voicepack creator to allow you to create pre-recorded (with your voice) or TTS-based announcements quickly and easily, as well as an authentic ground crew voicepack recorded by yours truely for Newcastle (EGNT) where I am originally from.
Voicepack Editor
The Audio Manager within Self-Loading Cargo now includes a Voicepack creator, allowing you to create voicepacks for Captain, Cabin Crew and Ground Crew using either your own voice and microphone to record the sounds, or via any TTS API you have activated such as ElevenLabs, Cartesia, Speechify or MurfAI.
Once created it's easy to share with the community - simple Export to Zip, upload to a location of your choice and then share the link in the #voicepacks channel on the Discord server.
Hopefully this will increase the number of voicepacks available for people to use, especially in languages other than English.
The Voicepack Creator will keep track of any missing files for you so when new events get added as Self-Loading Cargo evolves you can quickly edit your voicepack and keep it up to date with any missing sounds.
I will be releasing a support article "How to" on how to use the editor but it is fairly straight forward so feel free to give it a try - select "Audio Manager" from the setup screen when starting the application!
EGNT (Newcastle) Ground Crew Voicepack
I have created a new voicepack for Newcastle Airport (EGNT) so that the ground handler speaks with my voice. I am originally from the North East of England (slightly further North than Newcastle actually) and so my accent is authentic to the location - any time you arrive or depart EGNT, you will hear an correct (albeit slightly tired!) sounding ground crew member via your headset.
This is an example of how Self-Loading Cargo can excel when using "Natural Language" instead of AI-based voices - something it has supported for a long time but until now has not really been utilised.
Support for Ground Crew Voicepack Folders
Self-Loading Cargo has always supported location-based ground crew but until now all of the sounds have been lumped into a single folder and the file naming convention has been used to differentiate between locations.
Now you can also add folders for specific airports, regions and countries so that each place can sound different.
For example, if you wish to create a ground crew voicepack for a specific airport, you simply create a folder with the ICAO code of that airport - e.g. "LOWI" for Innsbruck
If you wish to create a ground crew voicepack for a specific country, you can use the first two letters for a folder - e.g. "LO__" for all Austrian airports, or perhaps "LE__" for all Spanish ones.
The USA is a special case - you can use "K___" for all of those, since the second letter is different ... "KCMI, KORD, KSLC" for example
I look forward to seeing what you can come up with!
Random Cabin Component Failures
The first phase of the built-in failure engine has been deployed ... in-flight passengers may experience problems with their Seat recliners, Seat Trays, Personal Fans, Personal Lights, Window Shades, IFEs etc ... and will get annoyed too. You can view the status of each seat component (because they're individually simulated) by loading a new Filter on the Cabin Layout window.
This is an ongoing process as part of the v1.7.x roadmap and will be added to as time goes on.
